Ingo Elfering is CIO at Philips, the global health technology company, where he leads IT strategy, platform transformation, and the intersection of data, AI, and enterprise technology across an $18B organization operating in 100+ countries.
Before Philips, Ingo served as Group CIO at Fresenius, and held senior IT leadership roles at GSK and Bayer Crop Science. He is a Wharton-educated executive, was named CIO of the Year in Germany for 2023, and earlier in his career founded and successfully exited a digital health software company.
Outside the boardroom, Ingo is a dedicated photographer whose work spans seven continents — from helicopter aerials over Manhattan at night to the Great Migration in Kenya's Masai Mara, from Antarctic icebergs to Icelandic glaciers, from the pyramids of Giza to the temples of Bangkok. His photographic philosophy mirrors his approach to technology leadership: knowing what to leave out matters more than what you put in.
German-born, based on Philadelphia's Main Line. Shooting with Leica and Fujifilm.
Married to Joanna Elfering (Dodo Huesker-Ardelt)
